This practice strives to provide the best care to all of its established and new patients, and be accessible to answer your questions and concerns 7 days a week via our 24 hour on call service.
The clinical provider embraces the idea that aside from medication management, lifestyle modifications and psycho-therapeutic interventions are closely associated with the successful treatment outcome for all disorders especially the behavioral health disorders. She is also very mindful of the patient’s cultural background and beliefs during the implementation of care.
She is fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole.
The following services are provided: Initial evaluations, medication prescription, and management, therapeutic interventions, diagnoses, referrals (if warranted), and follow-up visits for all individuals affected by a mental health disorder from age 11 to the end of life.
The mental health disorders that can be evaluated and treated at this practice include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD), disruptive/conduct disorders, developmental disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders, eating disorders, delirium and dementia, attention deficit disorders, substance use, neurocognitive disorders, and personality disorders.
Please be advised that an animal /pet emotional support letter will not be provided at this practice. The recommendation is that such letter is obtained from a therapist.
If a patient is in an emergency mental health crisis or psychosis, it is preferable that he/she is evaluated in the Emergency Room (ER). A patient or a family member can always call the office and state that it is urgent and ask for advice if unsure about what to do.

Dr. Jimmy Lafaille, DNP, graduated from the prestigious University of Miami (UM) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and a Post Graduate Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She also achieved a Post Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at Barry University and a Master’s degree in Nursing Science from Florida Atlantic University (FAU).
She completed her undergraduate studies in New York at Sunny Rockland Community College (RLCC) and Mercy College.
She received accolades while at the University of Miami (UM) when she was one of the few chosen for the Vitas Fellow Scholarship Award as well as the Aryn Rothfield Memorial Scholarship Award. In 2017, she was inducted in the Sigma Theta Tau by the University of Miami International Honors Society Chapter.
She has worked in clinical practice for 24 years and practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for several years.
Her background is diverse and includes many years of clinical experience in behavioral health, cardiology, pulmonary, orthopedic, neurology, geriatric, and clinical teaching at the university and hospital level.
She also holds a dual board certification as an FNP from both the American National Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and an ANCC board certification as a PMHNP.
She enjoys nature, traveling, hanging out with her immediate and extended family, performing community service, and reading.
